Bio

I am a limping follower of Jesus Christ, a reluctant leader, a husband, a father of sons, an entrepreneur and a marketplace minister - amongst many other things. However, most importantly, I am a beloved son of my heavenly father.

The Lord has led me on an amazing life journey. At age nine, after the death of my mother, I met Jesus in an ambulance after being run over by a car. Over the years, the Lord has asked me to serve Him in many capacities from youth leader to worship leader; football coach to physical education teacher; business professional to National Hockey League sports marketing specialist; president to board chair; entrepreneur to public speaker.

But you know, I would rather share my heart and tell God’s story. You can then decide whether what God has planted in my heart is what you’re looking for. You can then decide whether the words of life God has given me to give away are what, perhaps, you have been hungering for.

You see, I believe you are hungry. You are thirsty. I know I am. You’re here right now looking for something. We all are. Everyone is hungry and thirsty for more - more of something deeper that we can’t really put our finger on. We were meant to live for so much more, but we seem to have lost ourselves. I believe what we are all searching for is a deep, rich, powerfully transformational relationship with our Father. My Father has given me some things to give away to you - let’s call them words of life. Yes, I have words of life to give to you. Words of life. Words of truth. Words of wisdom. Words of love. Relevant, transformational, powerful, impacting, passionate, compelling, humorous, entertaining, and wholehearted words? Yes, but if my words are not the transformational truth of God empowered by the Holy Spirit, then I’m just wasting your time and mine.

Bottom line? My desire is to change the course of history by equipping, empowering and envisioning men with the Truth to set them free to live wholeheartedly. I believe that true life - the life that we have been created and crafted to live - is found only in Jesus Christ and a reconciled relationship with our Heavenly Father. And, I believe that the heart is central to all of life.

Have I arrived? No way. Do I have it all together? No. Am I a limping, reluctant leader? Yes. However, is the Lord leading me on a powerful, life-changing journey of transformation as a beloved son to better understand my Father’s heart for me and the world? Yes. Has He given me truth and life to give away to others? Yes. And, I would love to share what I have with you.

He has enrolled me into the School of Brokenness and Submission. He has shown me the significance of marketplace ministry. He has taught me how marriages can be restored from the pit of hopelessness. He has helped me to see the power of fatherhood and the significance of sonship. He has opened my heart to catch a glimpse of the enemy’s strategy set against the hearts of men. He has revealed to me the wonder of His grace, and my utter need for Him and a community of men.

I have known incredible times of joy and intimacy with God, as well as the dark night of the soul when there seemed to be no hope whatsoever. Victories and failures, joys and sorrows, courage and cowardice, life and death, mountaintops and deep, dark valleys - I have had many adventures with Jesus.

In 2004 with a group of brothers, I embarked upon another adventure with Jesus in starting Band of Brothers Canada. We are a group of men united in the desire to see God breathe life into “the dry bones” of Canadian men - along the lines of Ezekiel 37. We invite men to journey through a four-day Boot Camp experience to recover their masculine hearts.

Wholehearted Men is another opportunity for me to invite you to journey deeper into all that is in God’s heart for you. To give to you what our Father has given me, knowing that God-breathed truth can create a supernatural awakening and empowering - the life you are thirsting for.
